Bart's Analysis: A: Andrew and June are two very different people. You can tell by the difference in slant, pen pressure, and speed of the writing that they think and behave different than each other. Now, from a compatibility standpoint, too many differences in basic personality are RED FLAGS for a long and loving relationship. However, some couples find that "opposites" attract. If these two were dating, this would be the case. June might find Andy's impulsive, gregarious, sarcastic, and obnoxious behavoir entertaining becaues she is unable to be that outgoing and funny. And, Andy would find June compliant and non-aggressive personality style a breath of fresh air because he would have to combat her at every turn. You see, Andy is basically a bully with lots of ENERGY, resentment, anger, stubborness, and confidence. Therefore, he might respect a strong women much more than June... but he might like the fact she won't punch his lights out every time he makes rude comment. Now, June has her own issues to deal with. Her low self-esteem is the main issue that holds her back. You will notice the very low crossed t-bar in the word "not." This indicates a fear of a failure and a tendency to stay in bad or mediocre situations too long. Also, her signature isn't near as large as Andy's ... indicating her EGO isn't as large as his. So, he will take over in conversation. June would attempt to CONTROL the relationship by withdrawing her affection and setting up strict RULES to follow. I know this because anyone with a very rigid baseline is a bit anal retentive. These perfectionist basically have a global fear of things going wrong, being out of place, or not being in control of her world. Since Andy is basically uncontrollable (in a fun way.), he will drive her nuts wiht his constant un predictable behavoir. June is a honest lady who can be both kind and generous. She is just a bit too timid for a fire-cracker like Andy. She also doesn't have the strong internal self-esteem to handle someone with unresolved ANGER issues, excessive stubborness, or ego-maniacal behavoir. So, in my opinion, whatever initial attraction would soon turn into a real mind-game where June would be the loser. Now, would she have the confidence to leave? Probably not. Will she be happy? Probably not. But Hey? Not everyone has relationships to be happy, have fun, and learn. I know that's my purpose.. but judging by the number of totally disfunctional, violent, screwed up relationships we hear about... some people obviously need to fight. Hmmm. Makes you wonder. What's your opinion? BART BAGGETT |
